Through various activities like poster presentation, painting and pick & speak the
theme being “go green” organized by LLF and Dell for the event, students urged
parents and other members of the community to plant more trees and spread awareness
on the need for being sensitive to nature around them. In a show of oneness with
the environment they even planted 50 saplings in the school along with the Chief
Guest for the event Shri Krishnappa, MLA for Uttrahalli region and other dignitaries
and parents.
To sustain their awareness drive the children had decided to initiate the forming
of an Eco Club In the school. Their first decisive action was to ask everyone to
stop using plastic bags inside the school campus. The children were confident that
the research they had done for the project would help them spread awareness and
persuade many more people to join the save the environment drive.
