Dell YouthConnect’s Strategic Partnerships are the cornerstones of Dell’s efforts
in a region. Learning Links Foundation has been designated as a Strategic Partner
to implement its digital inclusion projects in 5 locations across India. Dell has
chosen Learning Links Foundation as its Strategic Partner based on the Foundation’s
track record of success in creating sustainable, and large-scale programs that have
an impact, benefit as many youth as possible, and have the capacity to expand further
with Dell’s investment.
The way people connect and communicate is changing and changing the world. A truly
globalized information technology infrastructure and those who build, run and use
it are creating a new era — the Connected Era. Global Giving Dell wants to prepare
a generation of young people across the globe to connect by helping them learn how
and when to use technology; gain access to the right technology resources; and understand
how to unleash each individual’s unique potential through technology. To bring this
vision to life, Dell has launched a new signature program, Dell YouthConnect, designed
to provide support for the educational and digital inclusion initiatives essential
to success in the Connected Era.
Learning Links Foundation is a not-for-profit organization working specifically
in the areas of education, health and community development. Established in 2002,
the mission of Learning Links Foundation is EMPOWERING LIVES by providing
innovative – sustainable solutions in developmental domain. The Foundation, represented
by the finest managerial capacity working in the sector, has collaborated with different
organizations for projects in India and across the globe.
Through the Dell YouthConnect partnership, the foundation will be implementing the
Learning Links Foundation’s SCIMA Digital Enhancement Project.
SCIMA Digital Enhancement Project is a Science and Math Digital Literacy Enhancement
Project. It helps to:
- Enhance Science and Maths learning among school students through the effective use
of ICT (grades 6 to 9).
- Provide digital literacy skills in a 21st Century learning environment to students
between 5 -17.
- Help underprivileged children from the Community 5 -17 years of age, who do not
have access to technology, gain digital literacy and 21st century skills.
The beneficiaries of this project would be students, teachers, schools, community
children and youth. To help community children gain digital literacy and 21st century
skills, Learning Links Foundation will be implementing the “Explore@myworld.com”
curriculum series.
The Learning Links Foundation Explore@myworld.com is set of curriculum series which
would be covering key essential concepts like digital literacy, 21st century skills,
health, etc.
Learning Links Foundation views the partnership with Dell’s YouthConnect program
as a landmark in providing schools of India and its urban youth with exemplary models
on integration which would help develop essential digital literacy skills and enhance
core curriculum learning in Math and Science.
Learning Links Foundation will implement Dell Youth Connect Program in India in
the urban areas of Delhi, Mohali, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
